In the 16th and 17th centuries, the vast wealth of the Spanish empire kick-started the siglo d'oro - the century of gold - a great flourishing of painting, sculpture, literature and music. This Arts Society Welwyn Garden lecture focuses on the greatest painter of the age, Diego Velazquez. Visitors welcome.
