Until 2019, the whereabouts of Constable's sumptuous portrait of his neighbour, Mrs Emily Treslove, was unknown. This lecture from the Arts Society Welwyn Garden tells the story of its discovery and restoration - a tale of excessive wealth, vanity, fashion and politics.
